I had the pleasure of photographing a good friend this past week. It had been forever since I had seen her and she looked amazing! She was definitely glowing. :) Take a peek at a few photos from our session!

January Photo

Ok, so today is technically February 1st, but I've been a tad busy in the month of January and didn't get a chance to post an inspirational photo for the month of January. Here it is:

I know this isn't a good photo, but I guess its more about what these two puppies have taught me. My husband and I have been fostering them. Thatcher (yellow) got adopted a week after we had them. We've now had Thunder (black) for 3 weeks and he is probably getting adopted this week. It breaks my heart because we have grown so attached to him, but I know he will be going to a loving home and they have a 4 month old lab. At least he will have a sibling to play with. I think our lab Stella will be sad, but also a little relieved to have her house back to order.

Hopefully I can keep it together when I drop him off! I cried just reading the email that he might be getting adopted! :(

Goals for 2011

I decided to make some goals for 2011. Here they are:

1. Take a picture once a month of something inspiring and post it on the blog.

2. Ask more people if I can take their photos.....because really how else will I get any better?

3. Spend more time doing things for me.

4. Create a website!

5. Volunteer more at my local animal shelter.

6. Get my office organized so it actually looks like an office.

7. Start a work-out routine.

8. Create an Etsy account.

9. Try something new.

10. Create a bucket list!

Lucy + Steve | Love Session

I had the pleasure of photographing one of my dearest friends and her love, Steve (plus Miles and The Todd!) a couple weekends ago. Lucy and I have been friends since waaaay back when. :) I was so excited that they were willing to let me drag them around for a couple hours on an early Saturday morning snapping away and seeing their love first hand. In all the years that I have known Lucy I have never seen her this happy. Steve brings out the best in her. You can see it in her smile, the way she looks at him, and the way she holds his hand. I can see how much Steve loves her by the way he runs his fingers through her hair, whispers in her ear, and the fact that he can't take his eyes off of her! And who can blame him.....she was smokin'!



You know you have great friends when they are willing to lay down in the street just for a photo!

Stephanie + Brian | June 12, 2010 Part II

I had to post a Part II of Stephanie & Brian's big day. Here's one of the main reasons why:
